School for Scanning:
The A-Z of CREATING DIGITAL COLLECTIONS
"REGISTRATION CLOSED "
History
School for Scanning was first presented in April 1995 at the JFK Library in Boston. Digital technology was still in its relative infancy and the conference provided a thorough introduction for a group of library and archives professionals, many of whom were just beginning to consider digital collections for their institutions. The School for Scanning brochure of 1996 promised “a seminar that will take the mystery out of digital technology.” The conference has evolved as quickly as has the technology over the years, each year presenting the most current and essential information on creating and sustaining digital files, including standards and best practices.Past School for Scanning Locations
